Fairmount Southside Historic District

Association

Founded in 1978, the Fairmount Association is a not-for-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the quality of life for all residents in the Fairmount/Southside Historic District .The Fairmount Association was originally formed when a group of residents successfully banded together to oppose the opening of a topless bar on the edged of the neighborhood. since then, it has been instrumental in securing National Historic district status for Fairmount, in addition to establishing parks and greenspace areas in the neighborhood. The Association works continually with the city to make the voice of Fairmount residents heard.
