1901 Adams, 2001 Washington, 1909 Lipscomb

3 new houses to be built by Jose Villalobos

Fronts inspired by 1800 Hurley, 1419 Lipscomb, 1801 Hurley historic houses. All with 8' porches. Houses step down to a one-story rear

Committee recommended approval. (Recommended some minor enhancements.)

HCLC APPROVED WITH FNA HP'S ENHANCEMENTS.

 

2008 Fairmount determination (if can feasibly be restored) requested by Code

Very unique house, roof in major disrepair, has caused a lot of damage inside

Committee recommended house be deemed restorable.

1824 Adams

Requesting demolition of non-original garage and build a new two-car garage, left off last month's agenda

Committee recommended approval with new carriage style metal garage door.

HCLC APPROVED

 

1716 Washington

Asking again for vinyl windows, which was turned down in August, also Hardyboard siding to replace the asbestos siding

Committee recommended denial of both. (Suggested wood windows and wood lap siding.)

HCLC DENIED WITH PREJUDICE (cannot return and ask again)

 

1620 Lipscomb

Finish out front gable (original small arched window was lost when house was moved) as before house was moved, add Victorian front door and railing.

Ribbon parking pad in front because there is no room to get a driveway down the side.

Committee recommended approval. (Suggested columns be replaced with Victorian, offline.)

1966 Alston

Second story addition to match original 1 story house

Committee recommended approval with some changes.

HCLC CONTINUED CASE, REQUESTED NEW DRAWINGS WITH CHANGES

 

1316 Washington

Joe Frank Homes requesting to build house there instead which was approved for 1316 Henderson

Committee agree with Staff on inappropriate to District, recommended denial.

1921 Hurley

Requesting approval for already removed exterior fireplace and several windows removed and covered in siding without permits or COA, and outbuilding demolition started.

Committee recommended denial of fireplace removal and window removal.

HCLC DENIED

Committee recommended approval of outbuilding demolition.

HCLC APPROVED

 

1821 Henderson

Remodel 1950's house to fit in with the neighborhood. (Staff claims Sanborn map shows house there in 1936, and recommending denial. We have deed card proof that was vacant lot in 1937, and current house was built in 1950.)

Demolition of 3 rear non-original outbuildings.

Committee recommended approval of all.
