Located in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas lies the largest historic neighborhood in the southwestern United States. Fairmount, with more than one thousand contributing structures, is comprised of mostly bungalow and four square homes from the late 1800s through the early 1920s.
Our neighborhood is bounded by Magnolia Avenue on its north, Jessamine Street on the south, Eighth Avenue on the west and Hemphill Street on the east. Below is a map showing the major streets within Fairmount.

We invite you to explore the many unique and historic homes within our neighborhood. As you drive the streets of Fairmount be sure to stop at the Southside Preservation Hall on Lipscomb Street to see their magnificent rose gardens and Rose Chapel. Also stop in at Old Home Supply on College Avenue to explore their eclectic collection of antiques, rustic furniture and home supplies. On Eighth Avenue you will find Butler’s Antiques with all of its wonderful collection of furniture and collectibles. After a long day of exploring all the neighborhood has to offer stop in at one of the many restaurants on Magnolia Avenue. From Egyptian to Mexican to Italian food there is a restaurant to satisfy even the most discerning palate.
